Here’s a cameo we didn’t expect to be writing about today: Beat of Jet Set Radio fame will be an unlockable character in remaster collection Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania. The goggled inline skater will be unlockable for free during normal gameplay according to SEGA, and will even convert the collectible bananas into paint cans.

Due out on 5th October, Banana Blitz will boast levels and minigames from all three original Super Monkey Ball games, cleaned up for PlayStation 5 and PS4. This is just the first of “several iconic guest characters”, so expect the likes of Kazuma Kiryu, Sonic the Hedgehog (already rumoured, to be fair), and maybe even Ryo Hazuki to make the final cut.
